We are sending a BIG thank you to The Arnold Clark Community Fund for giving us £1000 funding towards IT equipment and taking us a step closer to offering work placement opportunities.
Arnold Clark has been helping UK charities and local community groups to continue their charitable and community purposes during a challenging time following the COVID-19 pandemic.
By accessing this fund, we can invest in computer equipment that can be used by two individuals at any one time to access our programs.
Our programs involve building person-centric training strategies, where individuals can become accustomed to the world of work in an inclusive and empowering environment. Focusing on employability skills, motivation, and building the confidence needed to succeed, the pastoral support and work experience opportunities are ideal for people experiencing barriers to employment and training.
Our ultimate ambition is to open a Lancashire Business Centre offering business support to the local start-ups, not-for-profits, and small businesses that form the backbone of our local community. As they become sustainable, the work experience opportunities will grow and so will the employment opportunities.
26.9% of the inhabitants of Lancashire are currently missing out on the positive impact that accessing training and employment can have. It has been shown time and time that accessing support to gain employment is a life-changing experience as it creates less resilience on welfare, alleviates loneliness, mental health issues, and poverty, and puts them on a path to sustainable employment.
Anyone who has been out of work, or left education without the work experience that they need can find returning to or starting work intimidating. Beanstalk Business Support is thankful to Arnold Clark for their grant which will help us to give those in our community who are unemployed, out of education and training, or anyone else looking to return to the workforce a strong and supportive chance. #ArnoldClarkCommunityFund
